A "selfie" photo of Engineer Rikki Q. Macolor with Pope Francis has gone viral on social media.
Eletronics and Communications Engineer Rikki Macolor had a chance to have an up-close meeting with Pope Francis last January 18, 2015 at the University of Santo Tomas(UST) where he took a selfie of himself and the pontiff. The young and humble engineer, who currently works in Accenture Philippines, was chosen to participate the youth camp where he made a close contact to the pontiff.
The special "selfie" of Rikki showing Pope Francis next to him was uploaded on his own social media account yesterday. Dozens of his Facebook friends congratulated him for having the rare opportunity with the Pope. The photo immediately received hundreds of views while several of Engr. Macolor's friends shared the selfie on the social networking site. A colleague in Accenture named Roj Avante left a message that says, "This[selfie] is beyond amazing."
During the spiritual gathering in UST, Rikki encouraged everyone to be in service of the humanity. He also gave his personal testimony on how he maintains himself as a faithful servant to God despite the struggles he encountered.
In a separate report, Engr. Rikki Macolor earned praises from netizens after his invention reached to thousands of typhoon victims in 2013. Engr. Macolor designed a solar-powered light which aided the Yolanda victims in Tacloban.
